Rural Subdivision

About

Southwest Sunsites is a large, mostly undeveloped rural-lot subdivision in Culberson County, Texas, in the Salt Flat area roughly 20 minutes from Van Horn off FM 2185. It is platted into numerous numbered units with parcels typically 5 to 20-plus acres. Lots are off-grid with no city utilities, so residents use solar, wind, generators, or batteries for power and drill wells, truck in water, or use rain catchment. There are no zoning restrictions and property taxes are very low.
