Charleston View (formerly Calvada Springs) is a remote off-grid community in southeastern Inyo County, California, near the Nevada line, about 29 miles from Pahrump and 23 miles from Tecopa Hot Springs. Its land was cut into 2.5-acre off-grid ranchettes (the Spring Valley Ranch subdivision), zoned OS-40, with no utilities to the subdivision: owners use solar and/or generator-and-battery systems and either haul water or drill a well.
