Ranchos del Vado is a gated rural subdivision in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico, near Abiquiu and El Vado in the Tierra Amarilla area. A roughly 1,200-acre ranch was subdivided into about 117 ten-acre lots, bordered by public land on three sides and near El Vado Lake State Park and the Rio Chama. Wells in the area reach water at roughly 150 to 300 feet, and the subdivision has a property owners' association that permits RVs and mobile homes.
