About

Indian Mountain is a roughly 8,000-acre platted mountain subdivision in northeastern South Park near Jefferson and Como, Colorado, subdivided into about 2,500 lots in the early 1970s and bordering Pike National Forest and BLM land. Elevations range from about 9,200 to 10,368 feet, and homes rely on private wells (under a 1974 water-court augmentation plan) and septic. The voluntary Indian Mountain Property Owners Association, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit, charges $45 per year and maintains a 270-acre community park.
