About this plan
What the 16×32 Cabin is for.
At 512 square feet on the main floor this is a small house, not a camp. Thirty-two feet of length fits a bedroom at one end, a bath in the middle, and a kitchen and living room at the other, and the loft adds storage or a second sleeping space.
The crawlspace foundation is the main difference from the smaller plans. It costs more than piers, but it gives you a dry, reachable space under the floor for water lines, drains, and wiring, which matters once a cabin has plumbing.
Nine-foot walls make a long, narrow room feel less like a hallway, and the three windows on the back wall line up with the rooms a typical layout puts there.
Good for
- Living full-time off-grid
- A crawlspace for plumbing and wiring access
- Two rooms plus a bath on one floor
