Help & Support

How can we help?

Answers for operators running a listing and for visitors using the app. Can't find it? Send us a message below.

For operators

Adding your listing

Use the "Add your listing" button in the menu and type your business name. If it's already in the Off Grid Hubs directory, pick it from the matches; if not, add it in a couple of minutes. A basic listing is free.

Type its name on the "Add your listing" page and pick it from the matches, or open its page in the directory and click "Claim this listing." You'll create an operator account, verify that you run the business, and then you can edit everything from your cockpit.

No. A basic directory listing is always free. Paid plans are optional and unlock the operator tools: your own bookable website, a branded experience in the app, marketing, and more.

Editing & removing your listing

Sign in and open your cockpit. Under Profile you can update your description, contact info, hours, address, photos, and social links. Changes show on your public listing within a few minutes.

In your cockpit, go to Profile → Photos to manage images and Profile → Details for hours and contact info.

You can unpublish or delete your listing from the cockpit, or just send us a message using the form below and we'll take care of it. If you have an active subscription, removing your listing also cancels it.

Your plan & billing

Open your cockpit and go to billing. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. There are no long-term contracts.

Getting your community on Off Grid Hubs

Email us at hello@offgridhubs.com with your community name, location, and approximate size. We research parcel data availability from your county's GIS portal, configure fire monitoring for your area, and build your community's branded surface inside the GoHubs app, typically within a week. There is no cost to the community or to residents.

For visitors

Using the app

There's one free app, GoHubs, and it covers Off Grid Hubs along with every other Great Outdoor Hubs vertical. Head to the Get the App page to install it on iPhone or Android, or run it free in your browser on any device.

Yes, completely. The maps, conditions, and field tools work for free with no trial and no paywall. An account only matters if you run a listing as an operator.

No, just one. Install GoHubs once, then choose Off Grid Hubs (or any other vertical) inside the app, or open a specific operator by name or QR code.

Signing in & your account

Use the Sign in link in the menu. You only need an account to run a listing as an operator or to save things in the app. Browsing the directory needs no sign-in.

On the sign-in page, use the "Forgot password?" link and we'll email you a link to set a new one.

Finding & contacting operators

Use the search on the Off Grid Hubs home page or browse by state or category. Every result links to a full listing with details, photos, and contact info.

Open the operator's listing. Their phone, website, and booking links (when available) are right on the page. Reach out to them directly to book or ask questions.

About Off Grid Hubs

Off Grid Hubs is a platform that builds free community tools for off-grid and rural communities. Each community gets its own branded surface inside the GoHubs app with GPS parcel maps, fire monitoring, road reports, community tools, and more, completely free for residents.

Paid parcel services are expensive because they cover every county in America. Off Grid Hubs focuses on specific communities, sourcing parcel data directly from free county GIS portals. That narrow focus is what keeps it free. Residents contribute local knowledge, and the community network effect makes the app more valuable over time.

Our first two communities, Holopaw (Suburban Estates, FL) and River Ranch Acres (Polk County, FL), are built and onboarding, with more on the way: Three Rivers Recreation Area (OR), R-Ranch Siskiyou (CA), California Pines (CA), and Humboldt River Ranch (NV). Each community gets its own branded surface inside the GoHubs app, plus its own domain.

Every community hub includes: GPS parcel maps with boundaries and owner data, NASA FIRMS fire monitoring (24/7 satellite alerts), live USGS water levels, GPS trail recording that builds a community heatmap, a community marketplace, a local services directory, and tax deed auction tracking with parcel details and countdown timers.

Accounts & the app

You need a free account to use the app. This lets you receive fire alerts, post to the marketplace, and save parcel searches. Basic parcel lookups on the website work without an account.

Yes. Off Grid Hubs ships inside the GoHubs app (App Store and Google Play listings are on the way) and the web app works in any browser today, with everything working the same either way. Your community gets its own link that opens the app straight onto your branded surface, carrying your name and colors. Put it on your website, in a newsletter, or on a QR code at the gate.

Fire monitoring, tax auctions & local data

We pull active fire data from NASA FIRMS (Fire Information for Resource Management System), which updates every 10–20 minutes from satellite imagery. When a fire is detected within a configurable radius of your community, the app sends a push notification to all residents. You can see the fire location on the map and track its movement in real-time.

When property owners stop paying property taxes, the county can sell the property at a tax deed auction to recover the unpaid taxes. These auctions often sell land at below-market prices. Off Grid Hubs tracks upcoming auctions for parcels inside your community, including opening bid, parcel size, map location, and auction countdown, so residents can spot opportunities early.

Yes. Residents can report corrections to parcel boundaries, add local knowledge (access roads, water sources, landmarks), and contribute GPS trail recordings. Every trail you record is added to the community heatmap, making it more useful for everyone.
